Wendell Cox Feared by Transit Industry
The Austin American Stateman reported on 28 September 2000 that Public Purpose Principal Wendell Cox is so feared by the US
public transit industry that it dedicated a full conference session to strategies to refute his rail arguments. A copy of the article is

Cox indicated that this development suggests the transit industry's
acknowledgement of his success in analyzing wasteful and ineffective urban rail projects and noted that any successes are indicative of the
power of truth even in the face opposition from a $30 billion industry.
